Metrology Lab

 

Metrology Lab is another higher energy consumer of Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Moratuwa.

There are many measuring equipments ( micro level) stored here due to maintaining those equipments precision the place must be kept in cool and there are other apparatus for practical session also there. For maintaining the precision there are three air conditioners (7500W*1, 3200W*2) used for maintaining the cool inside this lab and those A/C s are always operated in whole day) Because of this Air Conditioners it got a state in energy consumption.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When consider other laboratories even though there are many high power rated machineries and equipments, their using time is considerably lesser than others. Mainly there are only lighting systems are playing major role because of its usage time
